莊慧玲教授為國立清華大學經濟學系教授兼前圖書館館長，研究專長為婦女勞動供給、性別薪資差異、自殺率等相關課題。自2009年起，開始參與兩項由國家科學委員會補助的國家型數位典藏計畫，並分別擔任計畫主持人與共同主持人，同時也擔任國立清華大學百年校慶系列叢書編輯委員。
Professor Chuang is the Former Director of University Library and a full Professor of Economics at the National Tsing Hua University. Her research interests include female labor supply, gender wage gap, and the suicide rate. She has served as Project Director and Co-Director respectively for two National Digital Archive projects supported by the National Science Council of Taiwan since 2009. She is also a member of the Editorial Board of the NTHU Centennial Publications.
