Content is of primary importance to any application, and without it our powerful technical system would have nothing to show.  However, the assembly of content is very tedious and time-consuming, particularly when the needed content involves many issues such as copyright, quality, format, authentication, and incomplete annotative information through the years. NTHU Library Staff should be thanked for making extensive efforts to locate, select, verify and provide relevant source materials in various formats with all possible relevant descriptions with close guidance from Prof. Ching-chih Chen and examples from substantial initially created illustrative work of Global Connection and Collaboration (GlobalCC) staff.  In the content creation process, we want to acknowledge the invaluable help from staff of numerous NTHU’s departments, colleges and university administrative offices.

The follow-up phase of the collection development has been carried by mainly by GlobalCC staff who use initially organized raw data as a solid base to further digitally reorganize, manage, integrate and process them into their final form in a rather complex zip-zap way with need for repetitive trials.

The result of our close collaboration is a rich, easily navigable, multimedia and multilingual online presentation of National Tsing Hua University’s important and historical individuals, events, and objects, as well as information and activities related to the Centennial Celebration as articulated in President Lih J. Chen’s welcoming address.
