陳劉欽智教授現任非營利組織Global Connection and Collaboration （以下簡稱GlobalCC）總裁，同時也是Simmons College的榮譽教授。GlobalCC旨在運用尖端科技與數位網路，以促進全球社會之發展。陳劉欽智教授同時也是兩項由美國國家科學基金會（NSF）補助之世界級計畫的主持人，即「全球記憶網」(Global Memory Net)，以及與聯合國教科文組織世界遺產中心共同合作的「世界遺產記憶網」(World Heritage Memory Net)。「水木清華網」(NTHU Memory Net)即建基於陳劉欽智教授為此兩項世界型計畫所開發之整合型多媒體內容檢索系統(i-M-C-S)。

Professor Chen is President of the non-profit tax-exempt Global Connection and Collaboration (GlobalCC) and Professor Emeritus of Simmons College. A major part of GlobalCC’s mission is furthering global community using cutting edge technology and the digital network. She is also Project Director of two world-class projects supported by the US National Science Foundation (2001-2010), which include a collaborative project with UNESCO World Heritage Center, World Heritage Memory Net, and Global Memory Net.
